KUNSTWELTEN, the Akademie der Künste’s educational programme, has been active in the Anhalt-Bitterfeld district since 2008. Filmmaker and Akademie member Christian Petzold presents his film Afire (Red Sky) in Köthen: Four young people love, and argue, about East and West. A barely perceptible hint of danger lies beneath the light-heartedness of this summer on the Baltic Sea. The film was awarded the Silver Bear at the Berlinale.
The film screening is followed by a talk with the director Christian Petzold.
