Peter Beauvais
Diversity as a Strategy
Peter Beauvais is regarded as one of West Germany’s TV directors with the widest range of expression, both thematically and aesthetically. His works played a significant part in shaping the medium of television over three decades. Now, the Akademie der Künste and Stiftung Deutsche Kinemathek are dedicating a first publication in the new “Fernsehen. Geschichte. Ästhetik” series to this pioneer of television. For this book presentation, Tankred Dorst, Jost Vacano and Gunther Witte discuss their experience of working with Peter Beauvais.
