José Wolffer (1970)
Curator, music critic and editor, in 2002 he founded Radar, a yearly international festival centered on contemporary and experimental music which ran every year until 2011. Between 2007 and 2010 he was general director of the Festival del Centro Histórico, Mexico City’s main performing arts festival. He has curated and produced artistic and outreach projects for different Mexican institutions, among them Fonoteca Nacional, Radio UNAM, Mexican Radio Institute, Mexico City Philharmonic, and the National Arts Council. Wolffer was music critic of the Mexico City daily Reforma and music editor of the magazine dF por Travesías. He directs the non-profit organization Plataforma Radar, focused on new music, and is arts consultant for Mexico’s Foreign Ministry.
