Residency

During the past few years, I have been planning  a book project, an architectural atlas of Zatoka (Bugaz) – a very diverse and complex part of the Ukrainian Black Sea coast. It is a long, thin spit between the sea and the estuary. Its chaotic, layered urban sprawl describes the last 150 difficult years of its history. I was taking photos on a site, collecting archival documents and photographs, and drone footage. Currently, the area is under constant threat from missile attacks and will never be the same. Now is the time to review the data and try to analyse the situation and future steps.
