Vita

Malte Wilms is an architect based in Berlin. He runs O’A, a collaborative practice in constant alteration. He works at the interface between theory and practice – both independently and collaboratively. He completed his architecture studies at UdK Berlin with distinction, with the master’s thesis “194,000,” supervised by Prof. Hauser, Prof. Linden, and Prof. Vassal. Before that, he studied at MSA, ETH Zurich, and in the Studio Kazuyo Sejima in Vienna. He is a co-founder of an.dersURANIA and Architects4THF, and is engaged with the initiative “HouseEurope!”. He currently teaches under the title DYMAXION at the Dessau International Architecture Graduate School (DIA) and at the School of Architecture in Siegen.

Residency

Acting under the title DYMAXION, Malte Wilms works at the intersection of spatial experimentation and systemic research, examining how architecture responds to changing ecological and technological conditions. His research practice unfolds through the development of experimental prototypes—grounded in exploratory methods, analytical investigations, and in-depth studies. Malte Wilm’s research focuses on concepts of thermal comfort across architecture, technology, and art. From this perspective, he seeks to reveal the hidden and parallel realities that shape our time.
