Böffel & Mött – Employees of the Grosz-Heartfield Concern George Grosz. Sein Leben
The monograph George Grosz. Sein Leben, written by Helen Adkins and Lothar Fischer, portrays the turbulent life of this rigorous observer of human beings. In 1915, Georg Groß met the Herzfeld brothers. This friendship produced the satirist George Grosz, the Malik Publisher Wieland Herzfelde and the "montage artist" John Heartfield against the background of the First World War. Grosz and Heartfield were connected, in particular, by the Berlin Dada period of 1919/1920. The event will focus on highlighting the collaboration between these two artists.
