Schlachter des guten Gewissens. Der Zeichner Paul Holz
Paul Holz (1883 Riesenbrück/Western Pomerania – 1938 Schleswig) was one of the most outstanding German illustrators of the 20th century. He tended to remain invisible as a drawing teacher whose unusual style was denounced as 'degenerate' after the Nazi's seized power and who also died young Nevertheless, he has increasingly come to be appreciated only since the early 1990s. The art collection and the Akademie der Künste Archives hold important parts of the estate and are partners to the exhibition.
