11th Academy Discussion: Anti-Semitism in Germany – Still, Again?
Anti-Semitism is one of the biggest challenges facing our society. It comes in various forms: from open violence to more subtle mechanisms of prejudice. How is it possible that anti-Semitism has managed to gain a foothold in Germany's social mainstream yet again? Film director and president of the Academy of Arts Jeanine Meerapfel discusses these questions with historian Wolfgang Benz, Anetta Kahane, chairperson of the Amadeu Antonio Foundation, Felix Klein, Federal Government Commissioner for Jewish Life in Germany and the Fight against Anti-Semitism, composer Luca Lombardi and cognitive scientist Monika Schwarz-Friesel.
