Konrad Wolf – Neu Gesehen
Konrad Wolf, director of films that include Ich war neunzehn and Solo Sunny, is considered to be one of the most important German filmmakers. To accompany the release of a DVD box set of Wolf's complete films and a new publication, Wolf's companions Evelyn Schmidt, Lew Hohmann and Wolfgang Kohlhaase as well as the film scholars Claus Loeser, Ralf Schenk und Chris Wahl will talk about his work and impact, the topicality of his films and the treatment of German film heritage – starting at 7:30 pm. Antje Vollmer und Hans-Eckardt Wenzel will talk about their new book "Eines Vaters Sohn – Der Filmemacher Konrad Wolf". Prior to this discussion, Wolf's rarely shown film Genesung will be screened at 5 pm. In cooperation with the DEFA Foundation.
