With the fourth volume of letters by Samuel Beckett, 1966–1989, Was bleibt, wenn die Schreie enden, Suhrkamp has published this large edition of letters. It is the period during which Beckett was awarded the Nobel Prize and fled to Tunisia, when he staged his own works in Paris, London and Berlin and increasingly withdrew from the cultural sector, until his death in December 1989. Ulrich Matthes reads from the letters and Daniel Medin speaks to the book's editor Dan Gunn, translator Chris Hirte and author György Dragomán about the letter writer Beckett.
