Christian Marclay is known for his work in a wide range of media, including video, sculpture, photography, collage, and performance. For 40 years he has been exploring the connections between the visual and the audible, creating works in which these two distinct sensibilities enrich and challenge each other. A pioneering turntablist since 1979, Marclay has performed and recorded with many musicians. His works can be found in prestigious public and private collections around the world.
